Karen M. Markin’s article in the September 15, 2006 issue of the Chronicle of Higher Education explains “How to Write an Outreach Grant Proposal.”
Outreach and Engagement
is defined as a meaningful and mutually
beneficial collaboration with partners in
education, business, public, and social services.
It represents—
- That aspect of teaching that enables learning beyond the campus walls
- That aspect of research that makes what we discover useful beyond the academic community
- That aspect of service that directly benefits the public
Each Winter Quarter grants are made available to Ohio State faculty and staff to support their outreach and engagement work. Apply for some of these dollars to expand your research, teaching, and service.
